Too-d-oohoo

Tyto is happy to see the families! Normally, he sleeps all day, but today he could use some help with something that is still on his to-do list. Namely: finding a nesting spot.

The families walk around the Grote Kerk in Naarden with Tyto and explore eight nesting spots together. But no spot is perfect, Tyto thinks. Sometimes they are nice and high, but there is too much noise coming from the organ… In a nice alcove, but there is a dangerous cannonball there! Safe in the vault, but what if someone accidentally locks it there….?

While investigating, Tyto teaches you all kinds of things about the (history) of the church. How the cannonball got there, what an organ sounds like and what used to be in the vault.

At the end of the tour, the children choose the most suitable place to nest. All’s well that ends well.

Will Tyto make his nest in the vault?
Beacons

Tyto automatically starts talking when he gets near a possible nesting spot. To help children (especially at the end, when they pick the most suitable spot), the beacons have a special “Tyto” look made of lasered oak.

Teamwork

The concept of the tour is by Go Wonder. The script was developed in close cooperation with the content experts of the Grote Kerk Naarden. The beautiful owls were created by Atelier Marinka van der Voort. And Tyto’s voice is by voice actor Roland van den Bergh.

In this tour, Tellmie and Showmie team up for a magical experience of the church.
Tellmie & Showmie

The tour also uses a Showmie. As soon as Tyto arrives at the big organ with the family, he lets them hear a piece of music.

Tellmie and Showmie communicate wirelessly with each other to allow direct interaction between Tyto and the organ piece. The result is magical!

‘Do you hear that?’
Ages and languages

Tyto is suitable for two age groups: 4-8 and 8-12 years. Both do the same stops, but the tour for older children offers extra historical context, an additional task and lasts a bit longer.

Available in Dutch, English and – due to the large Czech community in the region – also in Czech.
